I just checked on my end using the latest Tensorflow 0.12, and I get no errors when running this code. I am really not sure why you would be getting the error that you are. If you aren’t able to find out why Tensorflow isn’t allow you to split the stream into two, I would recommend attempting to just create the two streams by having two separate fully-connected layers which take as input the self.conv4 layer. Performance shouldn’t be much different, and that should be guaranteed to work.
